About Us
The PEI Arts Guild Inc., known as The Guild, is a vibrant not-for-profit arts organization and registered charity serving as a central cultural hub in downtown Charlottetown. Committed to supporting new, emerging, and professional artists, The Guild offers a dynamic mix of programming and facilities that include a 90-seat performance space, rehearsal studios, gallery spaces, and incubator environments for artistic creation. Its intimate Black Box theatre and gallery spaces allow for innovative presentations in theatre, music, dance, comedy, and visual arts, providing both exposure and development opportunities for artists across the Island.
Beyond presenting artistic works, The Guild fosters collaboration and community engagement. Its building hosts sector councils, non-profit arts organizations, and special tenants such as Pride PEI, Music PEI, and the PEI French Cultural Federation, positioning the Guild as a hub for cultural advocacy and resource sharing. The organization emphasizes accessibility, inclusivity, and artist-centred practices, ensuring that all artists and community members feel welcome. Through its programming, rental spaces, and community initiatives, The Guild cultivates a rich ecosystem that strengthens PEI’s artistic and cultural landscape while supporting creative careers and fostering meaningful connections between artists and audiences.
