About Us
Insurance Bureau of Canada is the national industry association representing Canada's private home, car and business insurers. In Atlantic Canada, the P&C insurance industry employs over 7,000 people, annually pays approximately $320 million in provincial taxes and levies, and invests over $4 billion in government and corporate bonds. IBC holds consumers' interests and needs at the centre of its operations; striving to increase public understanding about insurance products and educate consumers about mitigating risk.
