He is the founder and former CEO of Columbus International Inc.\, a diversified telecommunications company\, which operated in over 40 countries. Columbus merged with Cable & Wireless Communications in 2015 (transaction that valued Columbus at over CDN$4.4 billion) and in 2016\, Liberty Global acquired C&W- Columbus (value of approximately CDN$11.1 billion). \n\nMr. Paddick holds a B. Comm. and an MBA from Memorial University of NL\, and graduated from the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. \n\nHe was recognized as one of Canada's Top 40 under 40 in 2000\, has been named one of Atlantic Canada's Top 50 CEO's by Atlantic Canadian Business Magazine on 5 occasions and has been inducted into the Top 50 CEO Hall of Fame. Brendan was Memorial?s Faculty of Business Alumnus of the Year for 2002\, named Ernst & Young's Atlantic Canadian Business-to-Business Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011 and honoured as Memorial's Alumnus of the Year in 2013. \n\nHe currently serves on the Board of well-known Atlantic Canada based Clearwater Seafoods\, and other Canadian and USA based public and private companies.
