Unpacking the Duty to Accommodate to the Point of Undue Hardship
A significant majority of human rights complaints received at the PEI Human Rights Commission relate to allegations of discrimination in the area of employment on the ground of disability. Through focused exploration on the human rights concept of the duty to accommodate to the point of undue hardship, this presentation aims to educate employers on their rights and responsibilities when dealing with requests for accommodation from employees.
