Description

Climate change - and the severe weather that results - is a current danger not just a future risk. In Canada, insured losses from large natural disasters have been close to or more than $1 billion for each of the past six years. In PEI alone, personal property damage claims were $22 million in 2015.
What can be done to help Islanders, and all Canadians, reduce claims and premiums? Join Amanda Dean, Atlantic Vice-President, Insurance Bureau of Canada, as she shares how the insurance industry, governments and communities can work together to adapt to severe weather. Ms. Dean will also look specifically at trends in commercial insurance and how business owners can reduce their risk.
