Description
The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Charlottetown Inc. will co-host a discussion forum with federal election candidates in Charlottetown.
The four federal candidates for the Charlottetown riding, Becka Viau (Green Party), Joe Byrne (New Democratic Party), Sean Casey (Liberal Party), Ron MacMillan (Conservative Party), will be in attendance.
Candidates will discuss their platforms on key business issues such as:
- Improving access to capital for small businesses.
- The importance of downtowns as the economic engines for cities.
- Reducing red tape for government funding programs.
- Access to temporary foreign workers.
- Investment in infrastructure in the downtown core.
- Supporting the creative class by investing in the educational sector
