In 2012 and 2014 the Canada Revenue Agency held consultations across the country with the goal of improving CRA?s service and programs to better meet the needs of small and medium sized businesses.
In June 2015, CRA published a report of its key findings and recommendations, with feedback focusing on the following themes:
1. Telephone service improvements
2. Accessible, clear, and understandable tax information
3. Filing requirements and frequency
4. Online services
5. Sharing information within government
6. Audit experience
This fall, the CRA is holding face-to-face roundtable session across Canada with small and medium businesses, and their service providers. The CRA will be seeking feedback on changes made to date, new initiatives and additional suggestions on ways to better serve the business community.
This is an excellent opportunity to have the voice of your business heard!
