All cancellations must be received in writing no later than 1 week before the scheduled date of the event. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after the deadline. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.

Matt Symes is a transformation strategist, serial entrepreneur, and seasoned keynote speaker with a proven track record of guiding more than 600 organizations through strategic transformation. As CEO and Founding Partner of Symplicity Designs, Matt has helped unlock over $1 billion in profitable growth while maintaining B-Corp certification standards that place his firm in the global top decile for impact.
Recently named AI Entrepreneur-in-Residence at UNB’s Technology Management & Entrepreneurship (TME) program, Matt is leading the conversation on how AI is no longer just an IT project—it’s a management discipline. Since 2023, he and his team have introduced practical AI to more than 300 organizational leaders, delivering millions of dollars in unlocked capacity and redesigned workflows.
Matt’s operating experience spans scaling companies in consumer goods, IT, healthcare, and education. His leadership was recognized in 2021 when he was named Business Leader of the Year by the Halifax Chamber, and he has been honoured four times as one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 CEOs (2022–2025).
Beyond his professional achievements, Matt is passionate about mentoring entrepreneurs, running marathons on seven continents, and building an intentional life with his partner Emily and their two daughters.
