Description
Workplace Mental Health: Stress & Anxiety
Presented by:
Across the country, we are experiencing a significant decline in the mental health of Canadians and an overall increase in mental illness. Workplaces can be stressful environments, but they can also play an essential part in maintaining mental health and supporting help seeking behaviours.
This session will:
• Provide a basic overview of mental health
• Discuss and increase our understanding of stress and anxiety
• Share resources and strategies for employers and employees
About our presenter:
Natasha McKenna, Manager of Community Outreach and Education, CMHA PEI
Natasha is an experienced program manager and adult educator who joined CMHA PEI in July of 2021 where she manages education programs and individual and family service navigation. As a person living with a mental illness, she is passionate about increasing our understanding and supports for mental health for all and guided by the belief that every door should be an open door for finding help. Prior to joining CMHA, she worked with community organizations and First Nations in the design, delivery and evaluation of programs that improve financial security and well-being of people living on a low-income.
