About our Speakers:
Michael Brehaut,
Manager, Tax
Mike Brehaut is a Tax Manager with the Grant Thornton PEI tax service group. With over 8 years of experience in domestic tax advisory and compliance, he helps private corporate clients with tax planning, tax due diligence, accounting, financial reporting, and acquisition structuring. Since March 2020, he has been a member of Grant Thornton’s national response team to the pandemic and has been closely monitoring federal and provincial support programs to assist clients and their businesses in order to help find ways to navigate their business forward.
Maria Dow, Senior Manager, Assurance Services
Maria Dow is a Senior Manager with Grant Thornton PEI, and specializes in Cloud Accounting and Assurance Services. Maria has over 13 years of experience in public practice and helps owner-managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations with financial statements, corporate and personal tax compliance, and managing day-to-day bookkeeping using cloud accounting. By leverage financial technology for clients, Maria can help address pain points and increase efficiency with digital automation, and ensuring the benefits of cloud accounting positively impact how clients work and workflows are improved.
