About the Speaker
Rob Moore was first elected to the House of Commons in 2004 and re- elected in 2006, 2008 and 2011.
In July 2013, Mr. Moore was appointed Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency). He had previously been appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada in February 2006 and Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism) in January 2010.
Mr. Moore has a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the University of New Brunswick in Saint John and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. He was called to the New Brunswick Bar in June 2000.
