The Circle of Health is an interactive health promotion framework and tool that provides a complete picture of the components of health at a glance. Appealing to academics, community members, businesses, policy makers and others who are working with individuals, families and communities to promote health and well being, the Circle of Health is an exemplary tool for education, planning, collaboration and evaluation.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

This introductory online workshop will provide a brief presentation on the background, development and core elements of the Circle of Health. The workshop will engage participants in interactive activities that introduce the Circle of Health as a tool to promote a common understanding, develop partnerships, and provide direction for planning. The online technology we use allows participants to engage with people in different settings.

Expectation: A ‘hands on” experience in using the Circle of Health will assist participants to move from a conceptual understanding to actual application of the framework. This workshop is designed for active learners. However, it will also include activities for other learning styles.


OBJECTIVES

• Gain familiarity with the Circle of Health development and theoretical base
• Apply the Circle of Health using a case study approach
• Recognize the breadth of potential application of the Circle of Health

REGISTRATION

Registration for each online workshop is $50 per person; Registration for the 5 session workshop series is $200. Group rates are also available.
